There are many initiatives activated or promoted by the Municipality of Taranto to relaunch innovation in the Territory. The goal is to create an ecosystem of digital skills capable of accelerating the process of technology transfer from the most innovative companies to local micro and small businesses.

One of the tools through which the Municipality intends to promote the development of this ecosystem is the nascent Innovation District, which, in addition to hosting the most innovative companies in the area, will also be the headquarters of Ap-EDIH, one of the European Digital Innovation Hubs, of which the Municipality of Taranto is a Founding Member.
