Zone Traffico Limitato e Aree Pedonali

Two pedestrian areas (APU) and a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) have been established in Taranto

In the A.P.U, established in the Borgo district, there is a ban on access, circulation and parking, with forced removal, for all vehicles and motorcycles, in the following sites:

  • VIA DI PALMA, section Piazza M. Immacolata - via Duca degli Abruzzi (without prejudice to the crossings existing there in Via Pupino, Via Nitti, Via Cavallotti);
  • PIAZZA MARIA IMMACOLATA;
  • VIA D'AQUINO, stretch from piazza M. Immacolata - via Cavour (without prejudice to the crossings existing there in Via Acclavio, Via De Cesare, Via Giovinazzi);
  • VIA BERARDI, stretch of via Anfiteatro / piazza M. Immacolata;
  • VIA MIGNOGNA, stretch of Piazza M.Immacolata / Corso Umberto;
  • VIA MASSARI, section via Anfiteatro / piazza Giovanni XXIII with video surveillance gate;
  • PIAZZA GIOVANNI XXIII.

The Urban Pedestrian Area (A.P.U.) of via Duomo is established on: VIA DUOMO stretch between Piazza Castello and Piazza San Francesco (excluded).
The Limited Traffic Zone (Z.T.L.) of Taranto of the old city is established in the circumnavigation included within:

  • PIAZZA CASTELLO;
  • PENDI LA RICCIA;
  • MIDDLE WAY;
  • PLACE IT VIA NUOVA;
  • VIA GIOVANNI PAISIELLO;
  • VIA SAN FRANCESCO;
  • PIAZZA SAN FRANCESCO (included).

It therefore includes Via Duomo and the set of all the insistent drive-through alleys delimited by posterns and jumps in altitude: Vico Sant'Agostino, Vicoletto Sant'Agostino, Vico Casalino, Vico Gagliardi, Vico Calò, Postern Immaculate, Vico Statte, Vico Casale, Postierla Nuova, Vico Pontescuro, Vico Serafico, Vicoletto Serafico, Vico Galeota, Vico Carmine, Piazza San Francesco and Via San Francesco.
